Prescription Extensions
Your Guardian Ross Drug pharmacist can prescribe medications under certain conditions. For instance, if your prescription is expired and you are unable to see your doctor, a pharmacist can assess your situation and may be able to extend your prescription to avoid an interruption of drug therapy.
Minor Ailment Assessments and Prescribing
A minor ailment is a less serious medical condition that does not require lab or blood tests. Minor ailments are usually short-term conditions that can be managed with minimal treatment and/or self-care strategies.
You may be able to save a trip to your physician or an after-hours clinic by contacting your pharmacist first to see if they can help with your minor ailment.
We can assess, recommend over-the-counter products and, if necessary, prescribe for certain minor ailments such as cold sores, mild eczema, fungal skin infections, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections.
Please note that there is an assessment fee for this service. Your health service plan may help cover the cost. Call or visit for more information.
